“My 16+ year old male Chihuahua 'Mickey' was diagnosed with congestive heart failure August 2016. The Vet said he will need to take the Vetmedin for the rest of his life and that most pets have a 'limited' lifespan after that....I am happy to say that Mickey has been doing WELL since August 2016. He is still very active, alert, etc and looks like he is only 6 years old! I will continue giving him this medicine and pray for him to have a long lifespan.
