My dog, has severe allergies. I tried EVERY prescription diet on the market and only found one that my dog can eat without getting hot spots and itching. Purina Canine HA HypoAllergenic has fixed the problem.

The role of dietary management in canine food allergy is to provide a proper balance of total nutrients while meeting the special dietary needs of the patient. Most common food allergens are proteins with a molecular weight of 18,000 to 70,000 daltons. Protein modification is a process which alters the physical characteristics of protein molecules, reducing the antigenicity and rendering them less able to elicit an immune response. By reducing the molecular weight of the protein molecule below 18,000 daltons, this process can result in a protein that is truly hypoallergenic.Purina Veterinary Diets ® HA Hypoallergenic ® canine formula provides complete and balanced nutrition for the growth of puppies. Many dogs can suffer from food allergies due to the dog food they eat. There are many symptoms that can show up in your pet as a result of food allergies. Some common symptoms are, Increased itching, Loss of appetite and listlessness, Rashes, Hair loss, Diarrhea, Nausea and Vomiting.

This is the first dog food I have found that my 15 year old Jack Russell is not allergic to. I am so glad that I finally found something that works!
