“Our mare has been pretty healthy all her life other than a case of residual lameness as a result of laminitis a few years ago. She showed no signs of any respiratory problems. What got our attention was this nagging cough that would not go away, her nostrils were flared and she was also wheezing--all pointing to respiratory distress. We agreed that she appeared to be having an attack and administered albuterol. It helped soothe her and gave us more than enough time to get her to the vet.”
