“As a vet tech, there are 2 products that work extremely well for heartworm prevention. Ivermectin and Selamectin (Trifexis). Both work equally well. And unless your pet (usually herding breeds) cannot tolerate ivermectin, it is an effective and safe way to prevent heartworms. PLUS it has a dewormer for the most common intestinal parasites (except tapeworms). And the Tri-Heart is a fantastic price! It comes to about $6 a dose, which is nothing, considering the cost of treatment if your pet contracts heartworms.”
“Awesome! Thank you Allivet for offering this medication in a generic form. It is so great to have the information available on all of your medications including possible side effects etc.... It wouldn't make any good sense for me to get my dog's Bravecto, Heart Guard Plus, or Temaril-P anywhere else. I've done my homework. Allivet is, by far, the best. It's all a positive, and the peace of mind I get is priceless!”
