“I love purchasing Trifexis for my dogs because not only does it work for them by preventing fleas and heartworm, I like that it is an oral tablet. I used to use Revolution, but it had a strong chemical smell and it was hard to keep my dogs still while administering it. With Trifexis, I cover the pill with peanut butter and my toy poodle swallows it with no problem. If I don't put any food to cover up the scent, she will not eat it. My Shiba Inu, on the other hand, is extremely particular, and no food covering will seem to work. So as per advice from my vet, I simply wet the tablet with water a little bit, hold it with thumb and middle finger, place it deep inside my dog's mouth as far as I can and then use my index finger to push it in to make him swallow it.
