I have been using this for the last 3 months on my 80lb boxer noticed a huge difference on her walking stride, before I used this product I would noticed that she often dragged her nails while walking, this has totally stopped and the energy she has either walking or playing is remarkable.

My 8yo Lab mix had been slowing down in the last year or so. On our daily walks he'd walk at an even pace but near the end of the walk he'd started to really slow down, I'd almost have to pull him, plus he was having a harder time walking up hills. I took him to a veterinary orthopedist who diagnosed him as having "lumbosacral discomfort and pelvic limb weakness" -- more or less, early arthritis in his lower spine. Very first thing I thought of that could be at least a partial culprit was his jumping up on my bed -- which I solved immediately by purchasing a dog stairs (note: not all dog stairs are alike, especially for medium & large dogs! clue: google RampSteps). This was a HUGE help. Next I needed to find a joint formula. But, problem: most of them contain ingredients from shellfish and/or they add green-lipped mussel -- my dog is allergic to shellfish. I searched high & low, far & wide, for a shellfish-free joint formula and, surprisingly, came up with a very, very few options. Several, even though they were shellfish-free, had other crap in their inactive ingredients -- either bad grains or peas, molasses, or other objectionable items. And then I found Movoflex! No shellfish whatsoever. Instead they use a newer type of active ingredient made of eggshell membrane. And although the inactive ingredients aren't 100% perfect, they're mostly very good, especially that it uses mainly chicken meal, chicken liver, potato flour & starch and a few necessary preservatives. I would say this is a "limited ingredient" formula based on what I've seen in other joint formulas, which is great. Also, free of sugar, added salt, and gluten. AND, unlike many other joint formulas that say they are "chews" when they are actually hard tablets(!!), which many dogs don't like and are hard to dose, these are actually real CHEWS, the consistency of, say, a tootsie roll, and if you were to buy one of those larger, longer tootsie rolls they sell in a convenience store where the manufacturer has pre-scored it to indicate where you break off a piece, one of those pieces looks almost exactly like these chews -- they are the perfect bite size -- and, at least from my experience, your dog will take it willingly like a treat. Also, it comes in a well-made airtight container -- which, btw, comes with a foil lid that you'd normally peel off and throw away but i would absolutely not throw away but only peel back halfway and keep on there for double freshness because these chews will harden if left exposed to the air. And the most important part: Movoflex works!! It took about two months to really settle in his system, but my dog now walks so fast I now have to almost jog to keep up! I literally get out of breath. I realize that might not sound great for you yourself -- but it is incredible for your dog!! It is absolutely amazing!! I mean, isn't this what you want? But I also take him often to the dog park where he is able to really RUN and exercise those joints. Now, at least one recent reviewer here (and there are others) gave the product two stars and says "it doesn't work" after only a week or two. Really..?!? Folks, ya gotta give this stuff, at minimum, one month, if not two, to settle into your dog's system and actually work -- and two months' supply is what you get in one jar anyway. I realize Movoflex is a bit on the pricey side. But if your dog can't handle shellfish, or if, for whatever reason, you simply don't want to feed them shellfish, then this is worth it, because it's one of the only ones free of that ... and it WORKS! (Sadly, of course, this wouldn't be the right product for dogs with a chicken allergy.) This review is already the size of a novella(!), but one more note: when you open the jar the contents should look very dark like a tootsie roll, even slightly darker, and not faded, and each piece should be chewy, not crumbly or extra hard. If you get a jar with faded & crumbly

My border collie LOVES these. However, she also requires a tablet for joint inflammation that normally i would push into the chew rather than push into her mouth. These chews are crumbly so this does not work well for administering other meds with. She just started taking these last week so i do not know yet how affective they are for her joints. This rating is therefore only for ease of use.
