“Love simparica trio. Works great, the half life of Sarolaner has a shorter half life than lotilaner (credelio) so I feel safer giving it monthly. It also doesn’t need to be taken with food so I can just stick it in the treat bag and he thinks it’s a treat! I was having to hold my big guy and crank his mouth open for 2 pills. This one he takes happily.”
“I bought this product because it is one pill for fleas, ticks, and heartworm prevention. I have used Simparica for years and it has always worked well. However, I only gave 4 stars because at our most recent heartworm test, my dog came up positive for tick borne disease Erlichia, which is supposedly covered by this product. After reaching out to Zoetis, apparently Erlichia can be spread within 3 hours of being bitten, and it takes Simparica 6 hours to cover that tick bite, so it is not 100% effective towards the Brown dog tick. Thankfully Erlichia doesn't always cause life long issues, and it will be something we monitor from here on out.”
