“I bought this product because it is one pill for fleas, ticks, and heartworm prevention. I have used Simparica for years and it has always worked well. However, I only gave 4 stars because at our most recent heartworm test, my dog came up positive for tick borne disease Erlichia, which is supposedly covered by this product. After reaching out to Zoetis, apparently Erlichia can be spread within 3 hours of being bitten, and it takes Simparica 6 hours to cover that tick bite, so it is not 100% effective towards the Brown dog tick. Thankfully Erlichia doesn't always cause life long issues, and it will be something we monitor from here on out.”
“I already give my pets the Regular Simparica & flea and tick preventative. This makes it so much easier. Plus I don't like putting the topical on the dogs.”
