Porus One Kidney Support for Cats - 500mg | Allivet Reviews

I started giving this to my 17-year old cat about 6 months ago when it was recommended by a vet tech. At the time, my poor feline was experiencing regular bouts of severe vomiting and diarrhea as a result of kidney failure and pancreatitis. She refused her kidney support canned food. I really felt her days were very numbered as she was simply fading away. Then I started giving her PO. Within a few weeks she had turned around. Her violent stomach episodes stopped; she began eating again, fur started looking shiny and all around was feeling much better. I call it her miracle supplement. She doesn't seem to mind the flavor either (and she is very sensitive that way!). Since then she has had a couple of tummy bouts again, but still, they are not as violent and are very short-lived. I think PO has given her extra time to live and certainly has granted her a better quality of life! I can't recommend this stuff high enough for cats with kidney issues.

As a 'veterinary mom', I am so pleased with this product. There is no change in palatability of the food which is essential and I believe the product to be effective in decreasing my cat's uremic symptoms.

My 18 year old cat refuses to eat canned food for kidney disease. This has really improved her coat and energy

It's keeping my 20+ year old cat alive. SHe had two kidney infections that resulted in multi-day hospital visits before we started Porus One. Since using it (many months now) no kidney infections.

My cat was diagnosed with CKF almost two years ago. He had kidney failure when I got him from my neighbors, who had moved into assisted living. He has been eating a prescription diet since then. He seemed to be getting weaker and was pulling out fur every day. I took him back to the vet in November because he stopped eating. The vet prescribed Porus One. Within a week, Pilly was feeling better and stopped pulling his fur. It has been 2 1/2 months since he started taking Porus One. He has gained strength, and now he runs all over the house and is eating again. I put the Porus One into a tiny amount of Fancy Feast Classic Broth, and he licks it right up; this is at feeding time. I have tried many products over the years to help my kitties who have had CKF. Porus One is the only one that has ever helped. I can see an incredible improvement in my cat. I will use Porus One as long as my cat can eat. It is worth the money.

My 8.5-yr-old kitty has been taking Porus One for 10 months now. She has gone from 7.6 pounds to around 9.5 pounds in that time. Her creatinine went from 4.7 to 3.0 after the first month of taking this medication. Maisy (the cat) eats it right up when mixed with canned food. Allivet has the best price I've found for Porus One and delivery has always been prompt

My cat is about 18 years old and began experiencing kidney problems last year. My vet recommended Porus One and I found Allivet stocked it and ships on a subscription basis. The medication has been very helpful in reducing the issues associated with her kidneys, and Allivet's service has been perfect. The shipments arrive as scheduled and if I need to skip or order more, it can be done on their website or directly through their staff. I will definitely consider Allivet in future for other pet medical needs.

My cat is 19 years old and has had kidney disease for years. My vet recommended this and he seems to be doing better, having more energy and brighter eyes. He is less creaky, if only by degrees. I will continue to try using this - he has only used for one month so far, but I am reordering today.
