“Alpin Loacker ist als österreichische Marke bekannt für gute Qualität. Tatsächlich erfüllen die Stöcke ihren Zweck sehr gut, allerdings sollte man als Hersteller überlegen, die Produktion zurück nach Europa zu holen. Denn die Wanderstöcke sind MADE IN CHINA und eigentlich könnte man da ja gleich auf X-beliebige Versionen hier auf Amazon zurückgreifen. Es soll ja inzwischen Leute geben, die extra bisschen mehr Geld für heimisch produzierte Waren ausgeben...”
“1) The product arrived on time and in good condition.2) The trekking poles and the other items are as specified on the product description. The poles include one bag, two connectors, two sets of caps, and two sets of baskets for different terrains.3) The poles are made up of aluminum. The color/ finishing is a very nice black matte. They feel quite stable and sturdy even when leaning against them. The poles, however, do not feel heavy or bulky. The material seems also able to resist scratches. The body of the pole has markings (cm & in) to adjust the length.4) Both the cork grips and the low foam handles have a nice texture and feel comfortable in the hands. The cork grips do not have an ergonomic corrective angle grip design, though. The cork continues to be functional even under rainy conditions.5) The locking system is fantastic. The external clamp locks do hold a lot of weight and stress before giving up. At the same time, it is very easy to adjust the length of the poles and un/tight the locks. The poles have two points of adjustability so it can be packed down efficiently.6) The wrist straps are easy to adjust to different lengths. Nevertheless, these straps are the weakest element in these poles for me. They are not hurtful to the wrist/hand, yet the do not feel great. They could be more comfortable with a better padding. They straps are symmetrical and do not correspond to our left-right hands.7) The poles have a threading to screw in the different baskets. The mud basket does a very good job, preventing you from going to far into the ground. I have not tried the one for snow.8) The poles come with two different tip covers, one for nordic walking (have not tried yet) and one for walking on asphalt. They both seem to be made up of (cheap) rubber. Unfortunately, the covers for nordic walking and asphalt came with cracks. In fact, the asphalt cover is already deteriorating after a 1-hr walk. I do not think these covers will resist multiple or very long walks. I have no expectation that they will last long.9) The poles tips are very standard; they are probably made out of hard metal or carbide. The pole tip has a star shape. These tips provide excellent traction on grass, mud, and gravel trails. I have not tried the poles on snow and ice trails.10) The dirt accumulated on the poles washes off without effort. A quick rinse does the trick.**Except for the wrist straps and the rubber covers, everything else is super on these trekking poles.**Ask if you have any questions.”
