“CQG is a powerful interface to the market with minimal lag, diverse page layput and good tool /study capabilities. I use the drawing tools with ease and flexibility however there is a bug where sometimes the drawing lines become unlocked (either on screen changes, tool selection changes, or some other trigger) and accidental touches can move target lines. This is extremely frustrating after a complex setup with multiple pivot lines and bounds. I've written code to automate line and drawing placement and it works great until I accidentally, unknowingly move lines around.
I like that symbol lists are import/exportable and easily editable.
I like that contract information is clear, clean and available, as well as the new(ish) options layout/availability among tabs.
The preferences allow detailed customization and are intuitive and easy to configure.
An improvement would be to import/export charting tools/drawings and/or save different regimes.
An additional improvement would be to not have to re-login on every switch between panes/apps.
An over the top improvement would be audio readout of price.
I would like to learn more about using formulas and api calls using CQG mobile. It would be great to setup API calls and webhooks, however, I dont see that capability.”
“its good for quick entries and exits BUT i cant scale out, if you are just buying and selling everything at the same price its fine but i havent been able to manage multiple lots in and out. please make a break even button also. focus should be on intra-trade management and controlling specific lots. i will note that the only place ive seen this done close to right is in tradingview and ninjatrader”
