The G&P laser designator is a well known and sought after peice of kit for people that run Night Vision Devices or NODs. The original is a larger bulky unit with the both a visible and IR laser as well as an IR illuminator for general purpose use. This model, the Compact Dual Laser Designator, is made to cut the weight and profile of the unit in half to make it easier to carry and use for long durations. It cuts the IR illuminator off of the unit, which saves about 50% of the weight and cuts the size of the unit by roughly 1/3. It still keeps both the visible and IR laser, making it still an affective tool for use with NODs.
