Let's be honest, if you're looking at an airsoft revolver, you're probably not expecting it to be very usable for much more than knocking cans over. This M29 in particular, with it's absurd barrel length and heavy full metal build, would be more of a liability than anything else if you decided to take it onto a field, and even if you didn't mind all that, good luck juggling the mock cases without losing them. But that's not the point of it. The point is that it looks, and feels, undeniably cool. The build quality on this gun is great, it feels sturdy where it counts and the parts all operate smoothly. As far as I can tell it's about as spot on a replica as you can get for an airsoft revolver. I particularly love the S&W trademarks on the right hand side of the frame. The blued finish is pretty although not flawless, with some rough patches under the barrel on mine as well as in the grooves of the cylinder. The finish is also VERY prone to finger prints, so keep a cloth on hand if that bothers you. The only spot it really fails as far as build goes is are the grips; the plastic faux wood sticks out like a sore thumb on an otherwise very accurate piece. I'm not sure you could even buy or make aftermarket wood grips since it's a screwless design at least on the left side. Overall, I think if you want a big, weighty, well detailed show piece, it's hard to go wrong with this piece. If however you'd like something more practical, definitely shop the shorter barrel lengths if you're dead set on this particular revolver.
