“For the past 20 or so years, I have been dyeing my hair using permanent black & blue black hair dye so now I want (need!), to lighten my hair (the pure white roots) as I must colour my hair fortnightly to escape looking like pepe le pew (a skunk!)
And so my journey began. To date I have had 7 colour remover sessions both at the hairdresser and at home. I've used many different brands. Each lifting slightly, I knew it would be a journey, as I have very long hair and don't want to lose the length or compromise the condition of my hair.
Following the last colour session at the hairdresser (I alternate between DIY with professional products & being lazy & go to the salon). My latest colour was a dark grape through the mids & ends with orange, yellow & white roots.
This is where zalon comes in.... after researching and using many other products I bought 4 x zalon colour remover packs. Yesterday I mixed up two (my hair is very long), totally saturated every strand, covered with a disposable processing cap and waited the 30 minutes as pet instruction.
I jumped into the shower with step 3, rinsed for 5 mins, applied step 3 and thoroughly worked it through my hair for 1 minute, rinsed and repeated.
After applying kerastase vitaciment thermal protection I blow-dried my hair.
Now this is where I have to say, I was completely blown away at the amount of colour zalon shifted. Instead of dark grape, I'm now at mid copper. I am absolutely thrilled. No damage apparent either! Super impressed, thank you zalonpro! I will be doing another session and am excited to see the results from 2nd session with zalonpro.
My initial step is to thoroughly cleanse with Malibu Undo goo shampoo, blow dry, then apply equal parts of the zalonpro step 1 & 2 mixed into an application bottle.
