“A few months ago, I purchased the long-sleeved 625 Khaki version of this shirt. Unfortunately, the buttons weren’t properly secured. (Perhaps the tailor was due for a few days in the outdoors .)
In any case, the issue was handled very professionally, and I’ve since bought a second one: the short-sleeved 450 Olive. Both shirts are now among my absolute favourites.
The fabric is cool and breathable, with a loose but sturdy weave that feels ready for anything. It has a relaxed, casual look that fits perfectly with an adventurous lifestyle; whether I’m at the BBQ, lounging on the couch, walking the beach, or hiking all day with binoculars around my neck.
After a hot day of hiking, I rinsed the shirt by hand and hung it in the sun. After about 30 minutes (while still damp), I put it back on and it felt wonderfully cool against my skin. An hour later it was dry, and when the sun dipped below the horizon, the shirt offered just enough warmth to keep the evening chill at bay.
The fit was exactly as expected; I chose size L for a slightly roomier cut, which works great for movement and layering. The 450 Olive leans more towards a dark grey with a subtle green hue, while the 625 Khaki is noticeably darker in real life than in the product photos.
The chest pockets are practical too. Just the right size for a sleeve of fishing hooks, some lip balm, a small compass or other essentials.
It’s a true classic. Recommended.”
