“This wool is well treated, it does not scratch, it does not tickle the skin. At a size of 193 cm, the size XL is ok for me. Maybe the sleeves could be a bit longer... Great for an expedition or a city when it gets cold and you need protection against wind and cold. Solid construction.”
“Some might state that buying a hoodie for 249€ is beyond worth for what one can expect from a hoodie. Can the quality, fit, comfort and looks add up?
Well - After going through plenty of high-end-hoodies in my years I can with certainty say that this hoody goes beyond my expecations and if anything, I would claim they are underselling the hoodie. The moment I tried mine on, a feeling of relaxation, calmness, and attitude toward live changed (I kid you not, it was and still is a crazy feeling). Regarding possible usages, I got so surprised by the versitiliy:
- I use as a comfort hoodie inside (+20celcius) with a merino t-shirt under it without any issues (I have worn it for 4 hours straight inside, now writing this and it´s a pure pleasure)
- I use as outside on shorter errands just by itself, without a jacket in (-2celcius) and it works like a charm. It´s not 100% windproof, but it indeed resists the cold breezes we get here. I wore it solely for a work day, both inside and outside, mixed temperatures.
- I use it as under a jacket for longer walks or time out. When I get warm, I zip up the coat.
The best part is that I wear one of these "sheep hats" with wool covers over the ears and the hoodie itself is big enough to cover everything up, and it also goes high enough to protect your neck, so you don´t need any scarf BUT, works just good enough without the hat too without looking oversized. Not sure how Amundsen managed to design this beauty but yes, they sure did!
I would recommend this product to anyone no matter if it´s for adventure or just everyday use, I feel forced to since I´m not even sharing this with my girlfriend I have to buy a second one.”
