“Saturday morning hot air push ahead of a front that had the whole city out and about for the warmest day yet of the year in NYC. Knowing the island’s weather changes quickly and suspiciously, meeting a friend for a danish at Fabrique and a walk on the Highline would mean exposure to the winds that often scream across the Hudson. I opted in for a first time go with the 5Mila Half Zip. With the temp nearing 80F, I feared too much warmth. I was pleasantly surprised at how well the top performed in the warm weather. Typically I run warm, I did not break a sweat. Later on when the back half of the front arrived the temp dropped, winds remained, and many in the city around me were hugging themselves for warmth. I was again pleasantly surprised at the dynamics of the half zip, warm and regulated as I made my way home.”
“Nice quality wool mix fabric that is pretty awesome as a base or mid layer. The fit is very tight/small though, so size at least one up from normal clothes if you are not into tight fits. I normally wear a medium and go for L/XL depending on if I want it normal or loose in fit.”
