“Really beautifully made bag, stylish and practical. It’s just a shame they’ve added really flimsy buckles to the straps. As soon as I load the bag full (perhaps with groceries but not so heavy to be an unreasonable weight), the metal buckles lose grip on the leather straps and the straps come undone. Not ideal and surprising given they’ve put so much work into making the rest of the bag to such a durable high quality. Disappointing!”
“I had been looking for a new rolltop canvas backpack to replace my beat up 10 year old canvas backpack, and randomly stumbled upon their shop in Soho. Never heard of the brand, but the backpack in white looked awesome, sleek, and had the extra space I needed. It comes in handy doing everything from grocery shopping, to commuting to work with gym/boxing gear, to hauling equipment and other items to and from the city by bike or train.
I've gotten tons of compliments from everyday people, to the fashionistas working in the boutique clothing shops in Manhattan and Brooklyn. I liked the bag so much I ended up also getting their tote bag in green for days I take the train and don't wanna wear a backpack, but still have a lot of stuff to transport.
For a future version, I do wish they could add a piece of additional canvas fabric to the non-zipper side to serve as a water bottle holder, and maybe beef up the pressure points on the straps as I can be carrying 30-40 lbs sometimes. Also, a washed navy color option, and possibly a smaller version would be very cool too for those who don't need as much storage capacity.
Def recommend if you like the simple sleek but rugged canvas look, with room for bigger hauls.”
