Our daughter is really enjoying this class. She is learning a lot, both from the material, but also, from taking a class from someone other than mom! She is already talking about what she'll take next year from this instructor

This was my first year taking online classes, it unfortunately was also my last (I just graduated this year). But I couldnt have picked a better class or teacher for this class, I absolutely loved it! Not only was everything theologically sound, Mr. Blythe made it so much fun! He teaches in a way that engages the students to ask questions and state their thoughts and/or opinions, and he responds with respect and appreciation. You could just get the books and read them on your own, but the point of the class is to receive multiple different perspectives and knowledge from different sources. Many times Mr. Blythe would remind us to read the chapters from all the books, even though they are on the same topic, because different authors will highlight different parts of each religion and cult. Just like the different authors who wrote the Gospels, none of them are wrong, but each book works together; one book will fill in something that another left out.

I have had three children take Mr. Blythes class, and I hope that my younger children will have the opportunity to learn from Mr. Blythe as well. Here are some things I appreciate: Broadened my childrens perspective. I want my children to know not only what they believe but also what people of other world religions believe. My children gained a solid understanding of the truth claims of the major world religions both through the readings and through Mr. Blythes engaging live instruction. Preparation for meeting diverse people in the real world. I want my children to have the ability to respectfully engage with people about their beliefs. I appreciate that this class broadened my childrens perspectives and helped them learn the skills to meaningfully interact with people who have different religious traditions. Critical thinking. Mr. Blythe helped guide my children to conduct critical thinking and analysis of other religious traditions as compared to the claims of Christianity. The readings were valuable, but my son felt the class instruction served as an even more helpful guide. Family impact. The content of the course sparked meaningful family conversations which helped broaden the impact of the course for my whole family, including my younger children. My oldest has finished his second year at a public university. Mr. Blythes instruction helped prepare him to evaluate truth claims. He is unafraid to have conversations about religious differences, while keeping truth, respect, and love for others as his primary focus. He is glad he took apologetics from Mr. Blythe. I am glad my younger children were able to take worldview from Mr. Blythe as well.

Thank you to all of my students and parents who took the time to provide feedback on this years World Religions & Refuting Cults course. Over the past 17 years, I have continually shaped this class to foster not only a solid grounding in biblical principles, but also to integrate the spiritual insights and critical thinking skills that are core to a Christian education. My aim in every session is to encourage curiosity, connect biblical concepts with everyday life, and offer a learning cadence that is both thoughtful and engaging. Each week, I design live lectures to complement and expand upon the readingsdrawing on both established World Religions comparisons and primary Christian Cults and proper biblical responses to erroneous and heretical religious groups. My approach emphasizes clarity and connection, ensuring students arent just reading information, but genuinely understanding and applying it. For assessments, I strive to balance meaningful feedback (sometimes accompanied by a smile or a simple encouragement) with targeted questions that reinforce comprehension. Many of my students over the years have shared that these lighter moments help reduce stress and keep learning approachable while still holding them accountable. Occasionally, minor miscommunications can occurin any classroom, traditional or onlineand I am always quick to resolve them with clarity and a listening ear. I take every piece of feedback seriously. My greatest joy has been watching students not only master the material but grow in confidence, asking tough questions and making connections that matter beyond the syllabus. Thank you for being a part of this learning community. If you have ideas, concerns, or specific suggestions to make our experience even better, I encourage you to reach out directly. I remain committed to continuous improvement, thoughtful teaching, and walking alongside families as we explore both theological, biblical, practical, and exceptional Bible training together.

With over a decade of experience across my first five childreneach having taken multiple classes with Mr. Larry BlytheI can say without hesitation that his teaching has left a lasting, life-shaping impact on our family. (Child #6 is enrolled for the fall, and #7 will be joining in two years.) What stands out most is the genuine inspiration he ignites in my children: a passion to trust Jesus as Lord and Savior, to know and live out Gods Word daily, and to defend their faith with clarity and conviction. From the moment Mr. Blythe begins teaching, its evident youre hearing from someone deeply anointedan exceptional Bible teacher whose insight, clarity, and passion not only illuminate Scripture but also motivate and equip students to build their lives on its truths. As a parent, I often listen in, and Im consistently struck by the biblical worldview he upholds and the care he pours into each students growthspiritually, intellectually, and personally. His syllabus is clear and structured, promoting student responsibility through consistent communication both in class and via the student portal. The use of high-quality supplemental books and videos adds remarkable depth to class topics, while assessments like quizzes and tests are thoughtfully designed to reinforce learning and accountability. Most importantly, the group discussions foster an environment where students are invited to wrestle with hard questions, think critically, and apply their faith to real-life issuessomething that truly sets these classes apart. Mr. Blythe consistently brings timeless biblical truth to bear on todays most pressing cultural challenges, showing students that Christianity is not only reasonable but offers the best answers to lifes deepest questions. I've watched five very different childreneach with unique personalities and learning stylesbe eager to attend class, deeply engaged in discussions, and excited to share what they've learned at home. Even more encouraging, I've seen them voluntarily dig deeper into Gods Word on their own time. Mr. Blythes passionate commitment to God, his deep understanding of Scripture and human nature, and his decades of faithful Christian living make him a rare and invaluable teacher. His classes have had more spiritual influence on my children than any other weve experiencedand for that, they are truly worth their weight in gold. If you're looking to prepare your children to think biblically and live faithfully in a world full of confusion, enroll them in Mr. Blythes apologetics classes. The impact will last far beyond the classroominto eternity.

Just purchase the books and read them on your own. I do not recommend this course. It was a waste of time and money. There were a lot of miscommunications (totally teacher's fault) that was frustrating for both parent and student. The lectures seemed like brain-dumps of random thoughts and add nothing to the readings (and rarely even lined up with assignments) Grading was non-value added and mostly emojis vs constructive and thoughtful feedback. Quizes were a joke. Questions like, "Who started the Mormon religion?" Options: You, Mr. Blythe, Jesus of Nazareth, or Joseph Smith. Or even "Did you do the readings?" Yes or No. Best classified as an "easy A" with little educational value (other than the readings which could be done on your own) Our family has taken around 10 online homeschool classes over the past 4 years. Most of them have been absolutely amazing and very valuable. I do not recommend this course and very much consider it a waste of money.
