“Super Sache wenn man Teppichkäfer hat, bzw. die kleinen Maden davon. Die verenden bei Berührung und das Ganze riecht auch nicht mal. Was es hinterlässt, ist ein weißer Rand wenn es getrocknet ist, aber darauf verenden die kleinen Biester nun mal. Wenn die Plage beseitigt ist, kann man den weißen Belag ohne Rückstände prima abwischen (Holzfußboden passiert auch nix). Und für Katzen auch nicht gefährlich.

“Unser Hühnerstall hat immer mal wieder die Rote Vogelmilbe zu besuch. Bisher haben wir Kieselgur aus der Flasche verwendet, aber das hat nicht so viel gebracht, weil es sich nicht gleichmäßig verteilen ließ. Dann haben wir es mit Wasser gemischt und so alles eingepinselt. Das klappte viel besser, aber machte auch viel Arbeit und dauerte lange, bis es trocken war.
Mit dem Spray ist es viel einfacher. Abzug gibt es, weil das Spray schnell leer ist und dafür finde ich es eigendlich zu teuer.”
“Well I am actually using this for my plants. It is very good value for money and more affordable than the labels/brands made for plants. If it is safe for animals, then it will be safe for my plants. I do use latex gloves when handling and a face mask if it is windy.
I am now currently treating five orchids that I received which are heavily infected with mealybugs. I have removed them from their potting mix, washed and soaked them in soap and now they are dusted with this earth and will remain like this before potting to ensure all bugs are dead. Sadly the roots were also infected and impossible to wash off all the mealybugs.
This has also solved my spider mite issue in my pot plants. Very happy with this product. I was rather depressed that all my hard work planting, battling gnats and aphids and then the spider mites hit and caused huge damage. I know next summer, my plants will be perfect!
A nice trick to spreading this: I use a tiny sieve from my kitchen... add a tablespoon and gently tap the side of the sieve to spread where desired. Please don't try this if it is a windy day... obviously you will have problems. You are buying dust... there is no need to give a bad review because it is dust.
Other times, as i mentioned, I just my latex gloves. This works well when trying to sprinkle in specific corners (like covering my orchids, all the roots and leaves). I have not tried the spray method.
I used it once without gloves and my hands felt a bit tender and raw but experienced no issues. Take care when it is in contact with your skin.. this stuff is like tiny razor blades to insects and will dry out our skin and possibly cause irritation as well.
