“This is a great canteen, though not the same as a genuine issue one (the plastic is a little thinner and the bottle opening is a different shape). These do come with a very annoying and unnecessary huge white sticker on them that does not peel off! You need to pick away at it and then remove the residue with some cooking oil and a paper towel. I hate how so many manufacturers put stickers like these on their products. All it said was to wash it before using. Shame the instructions were not how to remove the sticker! The bottle opening had sharp casting burrs around it so I had to trim those and finely sand it smooth. It's not without flaws and the finish was very rough, but nothing that can't be corrected. This will replace my issue 1969 canteen that is still usable but getting a little tired. This should outlast me. Yet again speedy, great service from Army and Outdoors!”
