“This was my first ever guided bicycle tour. I have a lot of experience traveling with my road bike and ride out from a fixed location every day. This was different.
The route felt safe and the suport team made an excellent job. I was especially impressed with the van-team that always was ahead of the group, showing directions at intersections and either stoped the trafic so the group could ride on, or stopped the group until it was clear of trafic. This gave me a good feeling of safety.
The accomodation was good and spacy.
Most importantly, the guide and the van team was so positiv and energic, which helped the group to bound. Everyday of biking was a pleasure.
I was also positivly surprised by the raod standard. Mostly smooth asphalt and on the busy roads, a nice road shoulder to ride on. On the side rides, there were almost no trafic.

“With my sister we set out from Chiang Mai with five new friends and two drivers and a guide on bike. We had a wonderful week cycling over a week to Chiang Rai. The guides were incredible; friendly, funny, supportive and well organized. Lively snacks and drinks at each stop; great sight seeing; amazing temples and an endless education about Thai culture and history. Hotels were all great and even the two wet days were so much fun. The bikes and other kit were great. Overall a wonderful trip - highly recommend it and The Art of the Bicycle and their local partner Peddlers. Well done Yai and her team!!”

I've been fortunate to trek, run and bike through different countries (i.e. Vietnam, Cambodia, Japan, Portugual, Iceland, Mexico, Canada). I took a chance by trying Art of Bicycle--for the first time--to visit northern Thailand and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the trip which packed so much sightseeing, history and fun into each day--plus the other guests were great--and it definitely was a great value for the money. Our tour guides--Noom and Ae--and support staff were outstanding. I highly recommend this trip and if you are daunted by biking distance - use an e-bike! “Excellent guides and support team. Safe and beautiful route on quiet roads. Each day was different and interesting. Delicious fresh fruit and local treats at water breaks. The bikes (non electric for us) were new and in excellent condition. Nice hotels in pretty settings. A variety of delicious Thai food at lunch and dinner. We would highly recommend Art of Bicycle Trips...this is our 2nd with them in Asia.”
