Exotic India Bike Tour Reviews

4.9 Rating 11 Reviews
This trip exceeded my expectations! The guide was experienced and knowledgeable about the local culture and landmarks. Rides through rural Rajasthan were interesting and we all felt safe riding through busy little villages. Food was fabulous and we loved our mid-morning stops for masala chai. The street vendors had tasty snacks and we were comfortable with our guides recommendations. When not on our bikes we were exploring temples, forts and palaces. What an amazing experience!

This tour was fantastic. The stand-out features were the quality of the guides and the organisation. Our two guides, Bhupi and Muthu, were brilliantly informative, articulate with very good English, very willing and supportive. They were always keen to answer our specific questions or talk more generally about Indian life. The cycling was not too demanding and regular Chai and Samosa stops punctuated the rides and gave us a chance to talk with locals. The hotels were better than I had imagined and the organisation and back up services were faultless. I would definitely recommend this tour and would use the company again .

I’ve done 30+ bike rides in 20+ countries; this one ranks near the top. I’d give it a 9.9 • The guides were knowledgeable, helpful and communicative. • Even the driver never missed a turn • The days were of reasonable length over ‘acceptable’ terrain (I phrase it that way because, after all, we’re in an area of the world that is not fully developed) • There was never any pressure to press on—leaving ample opportunity to stop for photos. • The accommodations were extraordinary. I’d stay in any one of them again—for multiple days. • Food was good, too. Every place had beer that was cold • Mid-ride stops for snacks and treats were appreciated. • The historical / architectural sites were impressive and well-worth seeing. • India is a country with an ancient and rich cultural history; we got a good sampling of it The only reason I don’t give this tour a 10.0 is because the head guide likes the microphone too much. When he could say ‘blah’, he is prone to say ‘blah blah blah’ Jeff Pinkerton Denver, CO

Great trip! I enjoyed that the cycling was always in the first half of the day and the culture portion was in the latter part of the day. Our guide Kamal was very knowledgeable and the guides enlisted at each historical site gave us a thorough understanding of all we visited. We really enjoyed cycling through the small villages and interacting with the locals.

Four of us with multiple previous bike trips under our belt were very impressed by the professionalism, knowledge and commitment to the client provided by our guide. An Udaipur company with intelligent, highly educated (university degrees) guides and a good itinerary. Third world adventures will throw a few curves but good guiding companies can deal with them. Numerous brief shuttles during the 12 days bypassed the unsuitable biking portions of Rajasthan. Would highly recommend.

Holiday was well organised, we stayed in excellent hotels and the tour was interesting and stimulating. The guides were friendly , helpful, and efficient. The biking was good and at the right level for me. The bikes were in general fine for the job on rough roads.

This trip exceeded our expectations. Although India is not the easiest country to plan rides, our routes were almost always peaceful and beautiful. The rides usually consumed less than a day, leaving us with plenty of time to sight see in the busy cities and animal reserves. The hotels were over the top in terms of rooms and service. Almost all had swimming pools although the air temperature usually was between 60 and 70 Fahrenheit.,
