“Coming from the small Island of Waiheke NZ and being in the 65+ age segment, we are delighted to say we absolutely loved our Self-guided Split to Dubrovnik Tour and were extremely impressed with Art of Bicylces and their Croatian partners, Epic Croatia. They went way more than the extra mile to make sure they sorted problems starting with getting a replacement bicycle to us in Split on Day 1 (as one of the bikes was too big, and a second bike's derailer failed on a climb up to to the peaks above Split). This involved getting the replacement bike on the ferry in time in Dubrovnik, and then getting it collected from the ferry in Split and delivered to our accommodation early evening on Day 1 (the whole time, keeping us appraised of progress on the Whatsapp Group they created for our wee group - there were 3 of us on this self-guided journey). Secondly, when we left a bag of washing at a hotel on Korcula Island, they contacted the hotel, found the bag and got it back to the mainland and to us at the time of our airport transfer on day 7 - so this was exceptional service. The Whatsapp Group set up is a fantastic way of keeping everyone in the loop including the Art of Bicyle Team (in the UK), Epic Croatia (in Dubrovnik) and their local team and us. You really feel like you have strong local support - which is a huge comfort factor when you are several thousand miles from home and don't speak the language. Thank you to all of you.”
“I’m not sure where to begin as our self-guided tour in Croatia exceeded our expectations. Everything from the bike route, the accommodations, the breakfasts etc...we loved it all! We enjoyed the island hopping & taking different modes of transportation (ferry, speed boat, van) when needed to the various islands/towns which added to the experience. Our luggage transfers were seamless and our drivers were very friendly & reliable. Many of our accommodations were quaint; small Inns or boutique hotels. They were all different & unique and offered their own character & charm. The staff/owners were lovely. We loved the freedom of the self-guided tour & that we could go at our own pace, bike a little longer if we wanted, stop whenever we wanted to take in some extra views or to pop into a local winery or even just to get off the bikes & jump into the Adriatic Sea to cool off.
