You can cleanse the nibs of manufacturing oils by using a few different methods, and once this has been done the ink will flow beautifully. They can be washed with any dish washing liquid, toothpaste, or by pushing them into a potato for 15 minutes. Be sure not to leave it more than 15 minutes or they may rust.
