“This is an excellent lamp that serves its stated function very well. The lamp is currently in Version 2 (which is what I received) – that is, the version in black with orange trim and power cord. I was very sorry that Version 1 (silver with black trim) is no longer available as it has a much more versatile aesthetic. The orange-black "safety" palette looks right at home in a workshop, garage or dedicated studio space, but if your "studio" is in a home and has to do double duty as an office or living room, then this lamp will look a bit out of place. Hence the loss of 1 star. I hope Version 3 will return to a more sophisticated / neutral colour scheme.”
