“My favorite ATBBQ recipe is Coffee Crusted Beef Tenderloin. Check out Chef Tom’s video. The Brie, shallot, garlic sauce is to die for! The heart of the tenderloin taste was Oakridge Black Ops Rub. We invited a couple for dinner at the end of the week. I was so excited to show off this dish. I went to ATBBQ to order some Black Ops and alas - The manufacturer has stopped selling it! Youzers! What was I to do? I’d bragged up the dish a LOT! I was panicking! I called ATBBQ for help. I needed an option for the Black Ops coffee rub FAST! Without a “let me think” I was asked, “Have you tried Cattleman’s Grill Original Cowboy Coffee Steak Rub as a substitute?” Given my back was against the wall I ordered a jar on the spot. The texture of the rub was different but since the recipe also called for Cattleman’s Grill Smokey Chipotle as a second rub, I was hopeful it would be ok. It was! It had an awesome flavor and it really knocked the ball out of the park in the Brie sauce! Thank you ATBBQ! I recommend Cattleman’s Grill Cowboy Coffee Steak Rub to everyone! I’ve since used it with grilled Ribeye and lightly on chicken and pork loin. AWESOME!”
