I recently received and assembled my Napoleon Prestige PRO 500 and am mostly impressed with it. This was a BIG upgrade for me and my first foray into what I would consider to be the luxury grill market. I went with this grill based upon a lot of research and online reviews. It seemed like the most grill for the money without having to pay the price of a used car. Here are my Pros/Cons: Pros: The functionality of the grilling/searing portion of the grill is amazing. The high end BTU output is fantastic and I feel that the cooking surface is more uniformly heated than my previous Char Broil Commercial grill. I love the stainless grill grates; food does not stick to them nearly as much as my previous cast iron grates. The interior halogen cooking lights are a godsend as I grill year round and it is so nice not to have to use an after market grill light or wear a head lamp. Napoleon has done a nice job with all of the add-ons: plenty of storage, hooks to hang grilling accessories, rails for hanging towels that also serve to hep move the grill around, and the sliding tray to hold the propane tank. It is also nice that the rotisserie motor, bar, and tines are included in the price. And let's be honest - it looks like the Ferrari of gas grills. Cons: My biggest beef with this grill are the casters. For a grill that retails at nearly $2000, Napoleon really dropped the ball by utilizing small, cheap, plastic casters. The included casters have difficulty navigating over expansion joints in my concrete driveway. They are so bad that they often catch on slight differences in ground height which has caused one of them to fall out repeatedly. I'll be replacing them with after market casters. This wouldn't be a big deal if you plan to never move your grill but I move mine in and out of the garage for storage and anyone who plans to move their grill had better plan on upgrading after the purchase. Additionally, all the fancy LED lights are a bit finicky. There are a lot of electrical connections to make during assembly and I'm having to track down which one(s) are not staying connected well as mine keep cutting out in the middle of cooking. Losing electrical connection doesn't affect cooking after the grill is lit but it does affect the electric igniter for the rotisserie and the side burner as well as the interior halogen lights. If I can't get it nailed down and fixed, I'll be calling customer service.
