“I've had my Yoder YS640 since 2014 and it has sold several after friends tasted the great food it makes. I recently had a party of 40 to cook for and a few days before realized that a thermocouple had gone bad and temps were uncontrolled. I was not fully caffeinated yet and called for help not realizing it was Sunday. Only after a great conversation with the fix-it guy did I realize I'd been talking to someone on a Sunday afternoon who was likely nice enough to interrupt his ball game to provide advice. The next day I got a call from ATB who shipped out a new controller update that day for overnight delivery. I found the instructions clear, and the installation pretty straightforward. The new controller with the wifi features works beautifully and I managed to cook four butts and two nice packers in time for the party. Thanks to a really high quality organization. I've always had great dealings with Yoder and All Things BBQ.”

“I installed this kit on my YS640 built in 2012. The process was straightforward, but just be thorough in reading the instructions. Some of the pigtail connectors are different sizes for good reason, but it can catch you off guard as they don't mention this in the installation guide from Yoder. Also, both of my new probe wires were white instead of one being red and one being white as listed in the instructions. No problems though with that. Pairing with my phone was easy and it worked as expected.”

“I upgraded from my original controller from 2011 when I purchased the YS480. I have always loved and been proud of my Yoder. But this upgrade puts the grill in a whole new category. Coupled with the Fireboard app, this thing is truly easy, efficient and cool. The Fireboard app lets you set a series of temps for your cook. The first was a whole chicken. I smoked on 225 for 30 minutes, the app then changed the temp of the grill to 350 for the rest of the cook. I was able to monitor the whole cook including the Temp, the auger activity, probe temp, and set point on a graph! WOW! If you have an older pellet grill, GET THIS UPGRADE!! If you are considering a Yoder YS series grill, GET IT!!”
