“Waited to write this review until I had the opportunity to use the wood fired oven for making traditional pizza,deep dish pizza, macaroni and cheese and crispy chicken wings. When I first saw the wood fired oven for the ys640 I was hoping that it would be offered for the YS1500 as well and purchased it the same day it was offered to purchase. After using the oven I can honestly review it with 5 stars and it is a very nice addition to the pellet grill. Making the traditional pizza turned it into a family event as each member contributed their talents to make the masterpiece. There is some basic learning techniques that you need to apply as each dish has different temperatures that need to be established and applied to achieve perfect results. I will highly recommend that you vacuum and clean the pellet burn grate/box before you start the grill each time for optimal cooking temperatures and consistency. I’m still learning and adapting new methods and creativity to each cook but thinking outside the box is going to make this smoker with the oven a relaxing experience each time I use it. Definitely worth the investment especially in today’s challenging times. I’m a “ spend good money once” type of guy and with the price of going out to eat at restaurants becoming hard to justify for what you are getting the oven makes the simple decision of staying home and making your dinner fun and entertaining. Slow down and grill!! It will be a very good return on your investment.The way the oven and components are made it will definitely last a long time.”
