It all started simply enough: just a few friends and family gathering in the backyard, enjoying good company and good food. Somewhere along the line, this simple family tradition turned into a passion, culminating with the 2009 opening of All Things Barbecue.

“KC Brisket Class was Outstanding! It was a hands on experience trimming a Whole Brisket. The class also included knife sharpening information & demonstration. Our table included experienced Brisket making people who were there to get better. We had great discussions and the knowledge I gained has taken away the fear of purchasing whole Briskets! In fact have two in freezer for next month! Excellent Class! Tom and his helpers are Great! Looking forward to my Next Class!”

“I was very happy with the class. The content covered all aspects of buying, preparing, BBQ'ing, and serving a whole brisket and did so in a way that was easy to understand. I think it was fantastic to get our hands on a brisket and try out some of the techniques we saw in the class. I would say the hands-on aspect of this class would make me recommend this class. From trimming to testing for doneness to tasting, this class was worth the cost and time. Thanks so much!”

“I have struggled with smoking brisket over the years. I have skill in front of my cooker, but haven't mastered brisket yet. I could not be happier I was gifted this class and intend on enrolling next time it's offered for a reminder session!”

“Very informative material for any experience level of pitmaster. Excellent experience in every attendee had an opportunity for "hands-on" operations. A first class event. Can't wait for more classes.”
