Try the competition rub from the team that won the 2009 American Royal Invitational. From the team of Todd Johns and his brother-in-law Randy Hinck (who compete as the Pork Pullin Plowboys) who bested 123 past grand champions to capture the overall crown.Plowboys Yardbird Rub was developed for competition BBQ but for those of us that are just backyard BBQ geeks it gives us the opportunity to produce award-winning BBQ without the competition. The savory rub, with a touch of sweetness is followed on the back of the tongue with just a little heat.Sprinkle your chicken or pork with this rub and watch them come back for more! The bottle reads, "Created for chicken, but made for pork" and after trying this rub on some pork chops, we agree!Ingredients: Salt, sugar, spices including chili pepper, paprika, dehydrated garlic and onion, celery powder, mustard flour, disodium inosinate and guanylate, not more than 2% calcium stearate added to prevent cakingMSG free, Gluten free

About All Things Barbecue:

It all started simply enough: just a few friends and family gathering in the backyard, enjoying good company and good food. Somewhere along the line, this simple family tradition turned into a passion, culminating with the 2009 opening of All Things Barbecue.

Located in America’s heartland and shipping across the country. All Things Barbecue has a simple goal: to spread the passion for outdoor cooking to as many people as possible.

Received this rub as a gift and it’s become my staple seasoning for slow roasting/smoking on my Weber kettle with hickory chunks. Best tasting chicken I’ve ever made.

Used this on pork shoulder and pork loin wrapped in bacon. I’ve never had my bbq disappear so fast! We also used it on pumpkin seeds this fall and it seems it will be our staple now! So good

I’ve used this for ribs with excellent results. People tell me my ribs are the best they’ve ever had. I’m using yardbird on a smoked fresh ham as we speak. I’m sure it will turn out great!
