“I am American with a bit of Middle Eastern in my lineage so I have dark, thick and A LOT of body (and head) hair. Throughout most of my life (I’m 36), I’ve always elected to use men’s razors because I always felt they gave me a longer lasting shave. But over the last several years, my body hair has changed and men’s razors were no longer cutting it (no pun intended). So over the last year I’ve been trying out different women’s razors here and there, some are super expensive and not even worth the handle they sit on; others were cute to look at but didn’t give me the save I was looking for. I had seen several ads for Athena on Facebook and, after reading the reviews from other women, I decided to try it. I’m so glad I did! Athena gives me an incredibly close shave which means no nicks and smoother, hair-free legs for longer. I’ve also noticed that my hair is growing back a bit thinner (this may be because I’m getting older but I’m giving you guys credit for it, so let’s just go with it). I usually have to change my blades pretty often if I want anything near a soft shave like this but I think I’ve used my current blade for a month and I’m still getting amazingly smooth results. I also love the magnetic razor holder that just sticks right in my shower. Super convenient!
