“I was using Billie razors but found that no matter what type of shaving product I used, I had a rash in my armpits and if I happened to knick my legs, the area would burn and itch for days. I decided to try Athena to see what would happen. I haven't had the same problems. My only concern is that it takes several go overs with my arm pit hair (and it isn't even very long, I shave my pits every 3-4 days as needed) to get it all, even the first use when the blades were brand spanking new. So I'm not sure how well this razor would do with longer hair, but no rashes or itchy/burning knicks on my legs is a good thing. I'll continue to use this razor and see how it goes.”
“I switched from the Billie razor to this one, it does seem to have extra protection to keep you from ingrown hairs as well as razor burn.
Pros:
-Awesome colors to choose from
-Extra protection
-Affordable
-Glides
-hair doesn't get stuck
CONS:
-I'm just being honest here but it does NOT give a close shave. Everything else about it I super love but there's very clearly still some sharp stubble left I've never had a razor that didn't give that has left me with sharp stubble like that though. I never go very long between shaves.
-It takes multiple MULTIPLE swipes to get all of the hair off and then again, still stubble left.
I've never had this issue before! I'm torn because there's alot of good things about it but I'm not sure I can compromise on the close shave.”
