“The Homebody presets are some of the best presets that I have used before. Something that I have struggled with for a long time is incorporating my iPhone photos that are my personal life into my professional Instagram feed with. The Homebody mobile presets are seriously going to make is so easy for me to have a cohesive feed with combining my DSLR and iPhone photos.
Another thing that was incredible about the presets is that the blacks are legit black and not a muddy combination of colors. The skin tones look true to life and are clean. This was something that is very important to me, because I am a biracial women, so my family and friends have a variety of different colored skin tones. Both the desktop and mobile presets help with making sure they are accurate and clean. Each preset is different, so I feel as if I am getting a variety of different ways to edit my photos, which is amazing, because not every photo that we take can be edited with the same exact preset. We take photos in different lighting scenarios, environments and around different colors, so it is wonderful to be able to have a variety of different edits that you can then make minimal tweaks with to get your desired outcome.
So far, the presets that I use the most are Linen and Birch. Linen has more of a minimal style of edit. It cleans up the image without drastically changing any colors in it, which I appreciate a lot. Birch has a brighter edit, which works PERFECTLY for my home photos. My house does not have the best lighting, nor does it have a lot of natural light that comes in, so this edit helps add a much-needed bump of light and color to it. It’s really my “go to” preset.
Also, can I just say how much I absolutely LOVE the Flat White preset? SERIOUSLY THE BEST BLACK AND WHITE PRESET EVER!! I have used a lot of b&w presets, but this is by far the most universal and cleanest one I’ve seen.”
“I am a wedding and empowerment photographer from Vancouver, B.C but I also take photos of pretty much everything under the sun. I typically edit my images very dark and moody and working with these presets was a bit of a challenge for me because they are a little more light and airy compared to what I normally use on my images. I really enjoyed exploring this new style on my images. I really loved how light and creamy these presets are. I especially loved the Cashmere preset and Flat White, on both desktop and mobile. I enjoyed how well those two worked on pretty much any image I tried them on and only took minimal tweaking. The highlights are very muted which is an effect that I normally find myself adding to my normal work. I don't normally take many images with my phone these days but with these presets I may just have to more often! I've included some examples of both the mobile and desktop edits that I was able to create using these beautiful, warm, and rich presets. I highly recommend these presets to anyone, especially if you are someone who enjoys the filmic look with warm tones and muted highlights!!”
