“Anyone that has the 68RFE transmission this is a must have upgrade. I have a 2022 Ram 2500 and the normal transmission temp would run around 205-208 degrees, 220’s when towing. The dealership says that’s normal but I beg to differ so I replaced the junk stock thermal valve with the ATS Diesel thermal bypass valve and what a difference! Normal transmission temps are running between 120-125 degrees. Highly recommend upgrading now before you regret it later!”

“Did the install while also doing a transmission service and Deep pan install. Over all it was very easy, the clips on the cooler side snap off with a pick and can be pulled out easily. The bolts on the transmission side took a little of effort and you will also need a large wrench to hold the thermostat in place so it won’t twist. Putting the new one on was very simple I actually used a hammer to give a few love taps onto the cooler hoses. (I probably shouldn’t have) and used a flat blade screwdriver to get the plastic clips in place. And tightening the transmission side down was easy, no need to go crazy just snug worked and there are no leaks. So far no noticeable difference in temps, but over never seen my truck get above 135 so it may be different if you tow a lot. Also I used the metal filter coupling and it was easy to put on the filter and into the transmission. Overall great product and easy to install. And if you plan on doing a deep pan install and service at the same time expect to need a lot of ATF. I needed about 16 Qts to fill mine back up.”

“It's a no brainer that Ram/Aisin made a mistake on the thermal block from the factory. I see a 3-4 degree decrease in the ATS Bypass valve, vs. The stock one. And knowing you don't have to worry about total failure on stock bypass block!”

“Trans temps were always ar 170 degrees on the highyway for city driving, winter or summer. Now on the highway, trans temps stay around 140 here in the Texas heat on the highway and up to 152 in the city driving.”
