“I was excited to recieve my starter kit and got it set up straight away. The kit had everything I needed, except sanitiser,to get going straight from the box.
I am looking at purchasing a second kit as the starter kits are great value for money and come with excellent equipment”

“Frustrating - it's sold as a kit. That should mean the components work together. The syphon is too short to reach the bottom of the demijohn provided in the kit. A 33cm syphon leaves 4cm of mead in the bottom - that may be OK after the primary ferment when there is lots of sediment but after racking there is little sediment. I now have 4cm of mead that I can't reach with the syphon which I will have to pour into my bottles (defeats the purpose of the syphon)”
Hi thanks for the review the tubing should be 1cm above the base which is what it is designed to do to reduce any possibility of getting sediment put in the bottle. if you could be in touch with our staff that would be great
