“We have a 5 month old Vizsla puppy (13 kilos) very intelligent and can open doors inwards and outwards with handles. The use of the child gate we have for when our grand child visited was no obstacle for this pup. This was upgraded to a taller gate 90 CMS, which again after a relatively short time was not an obstacle. The 110cm callowese gate we received on the 2nd July was immediately installed and we felt confident that it would be effective as the pups paws only just touched the top of the gate. Unfortunately this was not the case, within twenty minutes she had scaled it and joined us in the bedroom panting and limping from her determined escape. I'm sure that for a less energetic breed this gate is ideal. But I would warn anyone purchasing for an energetic puppy this may cause injury. Baring in mind that puppies are more susceptible to injuries as their bones are still developing and long term damage may not be apparent until later in their life. The gate itself is of a stronger construction than the other two we have, we particularly like the locking mechanism which seems fool proof. I have rated this product 3 star. Weighing up the build quality against the unsuitability for an energetic determined puppy.”
