“Evidently, the Apple iPhone connection to TV HDMI adaptor requires power which can be supplied from the HDMI TV & Cable which must include the 5V supply line, or power (5V) through the Lightning port on the adaptor. AM I CORRECT?
This information does not (readily) appear on instruction sheets and the diagram on the box looks correct but the Apple Power Supply is not labelled and mobile phone (iPhone) users apparently don't need to read instructions on the WEB (which appear to be reproductions of brief, unpunctuated sentences).
I have experienced the use of several HDMI cables, 2 of the 3 did not have the 5V facility line in the cable so nil operation!”
