“I have the 9 and 16 pans of this palette too, but I got the 42 pan as well, mainly so I could have the lighter, browner mattes like Elephant and Library, and for the extra shimmers, River and Starfall in particular. The browner mattes allow me to do a lighter daytime eye and give a really pretty ethereal effect. The shimmers are very striking, and beautifully smooth. They’re a great formula and last really well on the eye. Because of the limited range of the colours in this palette, you’re going to get looks that are of a similar type, but there’s enough variety to step outside the grey smoky eyes, to a navy grey-blue smoky eye (Tuxedo and River), a dark greyish purple eye, a brown smoky eye, an almost black smoky eye, and the aforementioned lighter smoky eye. I find this palette quite addictive and even the darker and sparklier looks are ok for daytime with a light hand. If you have green or blue eyes, this palette is perfect.”
