“I bought this as I have lots of other JS products, but this gloss is not what I expected. It’s quite hard to apply but the colour smudges so easily and made my makeup look messy. I understand glosses are wet compared to the lipsticks, but because it never dried at all it ended up smudging- particularly if I ate or drank anything. I ended up taking it off and won’t be using it again.”
“I'm very much satisfied with this gloss formula. The colour is brilliant and vibrant. The finish is so very full and juicy, a joy to admire.
I've found the application easy and pleasant with this new "tulip" shaped applicator: I think it takes no more than 4 seconds to get used to it.
The formula tends to stain the teeth, because it's a 'transfer formula', but with a gloss it is a compromise you have to do ;)
In the beginning the colour disappointed me a bit, but I have to admit it's all my fault: in my mind, a 'blood sugar' gloss had to have a sort of reference with the 'redrum' tint (and that's what I hoped for), but the blue in 'blood sugar' is just a very little hinted. I think the idea behind it was a darker shade in a gentle way, aiming straight to spring and summer: it works exceptionally well for a brighter season.
I share some pictures and comparisons, as usual ❣️ in particular with the tint 'redrum' and the lipstick from 'velvet trap' collection 'the perfect red'.”
“The package is lovely, they smell devine. The pigment is great however, after wearing them for a little while the product builds up into a gloop around the edge of your lips and drifts onto your skin. Its embarrassing. I am going to try it next time with a liner.”
“Blood Sugar, in real life, is very pink, a bright pink, not as advertised at all which is a ‘true red’. Not wearable with my skin tone so a waste of £17.50 :( The formula is definitely incredible, very pigmented and has a sweet taste and smell. Packaging is beautiful and the applicator works well. Such a shame about the colour”
