“I really like the Puff. First, it is not a typical phallic shape, which is good in case it accidentally gets left out. It is (to me) not recognizable as a sexual toy. 5 stars for that.
Second, it is easy to hold and maneuver in one hand, not bulky or in the way if using a secondary toy or with a partner. I haven’t used it with a partner yet, so I can’t give a fully informed 5 stars for that aspect, so I will say 4 stars for now pending more info.
I have never used a clitoral stimulator in this category, so I can’t compare with other similar types. I have never understood the concept of a toy that simulates oral sex, did it provide a licking, puffing, sucking sensation, slow vs fast, etc?
The Puff is a sucking type sensation. It works by putting the “active” part, which is somewhat cup-shaped, over the area you want to stimulate. So there is not direct touching of the toy on the key spots, except for the circular area that makes up the edges of the cup-like area. In that way, the shape acts like a “protective” cup so that the most sensitive areas are free to feel the stimulation without direct impact. I like that since I can get sore from “direct impact” of other vibrators and it can hurt if jostled or more accurately, hit by a thrusting penis.
Also, it takes me a long time to eventually climax and my hand, arm can get tired from holding up something like a magic wand type of vibrator. This key part of the shape and concept are excellent for me to overcome my complaints of using a clitoral stimulation vibrator with a male partner. My male partners have never wanted my clitoris to be hurt, but you know how penises are, they are dumb, in the way a lot, and seem to believe that faster and harder is always a good thing. It’s not. 5 stars for the “protective” while simultaneously providing pleasure concept. For this reason, it seems more “liberating” to me in a sexual relationship with a man. 5 stars for that.
I’m not looking at the website description right now, so I don’t recall what it says. From pressing the buttons, there are 5 discernible speeds. I have not gone up past level 3, which is new for me since I usually need max stimulation from a direct contact vibrator. From what I can tell, it feels like the higher speeds suck harder, but I can’t tell if the speed is faster or not.
I had imagined that it would feel more like the slower licking type sensation of a human tongue, but that isn’t how it feels like (to me). It seems like the same vibrator type speed, but inverted. For illustration, if I put a regular phallic vibrator on a hard surface like a side table, it bounces around in an obnoxious and loud way. The Puff sounds like it is turning up, but when I tested each level, the toy stayed immobile on the table. Again, more female-like to me: quietly works hard without a lot of fanfare, versus a male-like sexual toy that bounces around, can fall off things, and you just want it to be calm and quiet. 5 stars for lack of obnoxiousness.
Real life performance: the Puff is a unique sensation for me. It isn’t the standard “jiggle things borderline-violently fast” like the previous vibrators I’ve used with partial success and trying way too hard. The Puff is more relaxing to me, more like laying back and accepting its hard work, versus me trying to force out an orgasm by any means necessary like I feel sometimes with a standard vibrator. 5 stars for something new, expanding my sexual experience.
It is quieter than others, especially the magic wand, which I worry about my kids hearing in other parts of the house. The Puff does make sound, but to me it is much more acceptable, especially at lower speeds. I’m not sure my youngest son would even notice at lower speeds if I was under the comforter and he unexpectedly walked in (he has figured out how to unlock doors). For this reason, I give the Puff 6 out of 5 stars for preventing embarrassment and unwanted explanation to a kid.
To clarify on the direct vs indirect touching aspect, you do have to make a good seal with what I’m calling the cup area of the Puff. Like a vacuum cleaner or breast pump, it works best when there is a seal around the center. So there *is direct contact with the cup rim and a very small amount of manual pressure to keep the seal. I have tested this with my nipples, and it can provide a level of different stimulation when held with looser pressure, then connecting for a full seal.
Just to be clear, it is not at all like the pressure or speed of a breast pump (I found pumping breastmilk to be crazy painful). For the Puff, think much faster but much more gentle.
Summary opinion: nothing has been a magic sexual cure-all for me in the past. It is very, very, very difficult for me to orgasm, with a partner or without. The Puff didn’t evoke a 30-second orgasm for me like other reviewers, but it did work, and quicker than other vibrators I’ve tried. It doesn’t require a lot of arm, leg, lower back co...”
“This is seriously the best vibrator for simulating receiving oral sex. Hands down. Excellent for solo play. Fairly quiet and very easy to hold. Also works well during partner play — just a little more tricky to keep in place (bc you’ll squirm) but hey, who doesn’t like a challenge”
“This thing is amazing. Will suck the soul out of you and project it to another ethereal plane. I always end up laying in my bed shocked that I could even cum that hard. 10/10”
