i am a plus-size person and hadn't honestly thought about the fact that my anatomy might not be compatible with this product. (i also hadn't realized my hymen was still intact (tmi?) until using this toy lol.) having a thicker mons pubis means the external vibrator part on this toy is a little too close for me, and presses too tightly to be comfortable or pleasurable.
i found that it was actually way more comfy to use the toy "backwards", with the external arm resting closer to my anus, so the internal arm could actually get as deep as it's supposed to be. I'm not sure this is an intended use for this toy so I'm not going to suggest it as a strategy - I'll just say it worked better for me personally.
