I recently purchased the MFT/3 table. I was surprised that the packaging was quite flimsy and the edges were poorly protected by styrofoam and resulted in several nicks and dings in the top and edges. For something this heavy and bulky, the entire table should be encased in styrofoam or other packaging. As for the table, it was not difficult to set up using several of the youtube videos out there. I am disappointed that there are no options for changing the height of the table so that it could be used for multiple purposes (outfeed table for instance) especially for those of us with limited room. I agree with the other commenters regarding the table support cross members which should come standard.

I purchased this to ease my cabinet building it definitely has been very versatile great build quality the extra support brackets should come with it in my opinion they are a must heavy price for a folding table but it is festool after all and is worth the cost over time and it will last forever good investment

This table is very well engineered and provides for a nice stable platform to clamp and cut material. My only issue was when I received the table one of the corners were slightly bent on the aluminum track preventing accessories from attaching. I was able to bend it back straight with some vise grips but marred the surface in doing so. Also I think the cross braces should come with the table as well, for that amount of money. Overall its a great table but cost and an accidental material defect cause this to be 4 stars in my case.

What makes this bench great is that it is very sturdy AND portable. You can bring it to the work-space with you, and if you bring along your "Dust Extractor" i.e. shop-vac (CT-26) then all your dust/dirt will stay in the room you are working in keeping the rest of the house relatively clean. I ended up buying a Woodpeckers square to calibrate the table and it worked very well. I can truly say if you want exactly 90 degree cuts at the level of C&C precision then this is the way to go. You can do the same thing with a table saw but you need a real shop-saw (2000 lbs) tool to get this kind of accuracy. The little portable contractors saw are not going to do it repeatably. That is really more a result of the Festool system of moving the tool, not the work-piece. There are two major issues though. Price...you know what I mean. And movement of the table under use. This is not an issue when using it with a rail saw (TS-55 or TS-75) but more when you are hand working a project, think hand sanding, hand planing, carving. Again this is the wrong table for that kinda job but if it is the only workplace you have then you might find yourself a bit frustrated with all the table shake. I even went out and bought the extra table braces (cross-members Festool 495502) and they help but this is not an old fashioned workbench. I would buy it again since like most things festool it is a key part of their system. I have the Kapex on the Kapex table and the height of this table matches the height of your work-piece when using the Kapex making this a perfect out-feed table for long moldings on the Kapex. So with two of these on either side of your Kapex on the MFT/Kapex base you essentially have a portable Miter saw station. Can't really beat that.

This table is a very flexible worksurface. The wide variety of clamping tools create an endless array of options. The table is also quite stable.

The MFT/3 is by far the most critical and useful tool I have seen in years. It is easy to set up and it stays true no matter how hard you try to abuse it. Move it around and never worry whether you are cutting square again. A real time saver.

This thing is so much more than a table/workbench. Perfect for use with my TS75 & sanders/routers. It adapts to so many different uses and work pieces. The 20mm holes are great, for use with dogs, rails, clamps etc. Perfect for my small garage shop, thing thing is a great space saver. I use this table daily & couldnt be happier. The accessories & rail that come included are a crazy deal & very nice additions. Makes for quick work on squaring up wood for clean, precise cuts! Thanks Festool, another winner.
