“I love Festool products and own most of them, however I returned this tool because it just did not work for me as an enthusiastic hobbyist. The tool is beautifully made but I found it to be large, heavy and unwieldy in use. I wear XL gloves but the tool still felt large and heavy, esp compared to the Bosch cordless that I was familiar with. You can purchase fine blades but this tool is so cumbersome to use that I think you will be disappointed if you plan to use this for delicate curved cuts. I see this tool best used by a contractor who needs the power, dependability, and convenience of cordless operation. The fact that you have to change the base in order to make bevel cuts is also a distinct disadvantage compared to competitors. Personally the Bosch cordless worked out much better for me and I would encourage you to try and see this tool in person before buying.”
