“Is this a separate unit? No. Is it a great solution for small shops? Absolutely. I have owned and used this model for about 3 years and it has more than paid for itself (no longer buying pre-dimensioned lumber) and has given good results. I am sure that there are better tools that take up far more space and cost much more, but in my shop, this has been a great addition.”

“I believe that this 8 inch Jointer/Planer combo is a good price and you are receiving a sound combo, the cons to this choice as its listed there is no dust collector duct and its a benchtop device, with the other combo you receive a durable stand for an additional $125.00. In trying to make a decision for my shop, I have a small shop but I don't have the extra bench space so getting the durable stand & by getting 2 inches more that is just more bang for your buck.”

“This little jointer combo really is a powerhouse. I bought this for a friend to conserve space in his shop. He loves it for his purposes. I would prefer the separate machines for the furnature I make.”
