“This sander is made of some sort of plastic material from the motor disc and belt down. The base looks like metal but its not. This is a real disappointment. Jet has really dropped the ball on this sander . if this is what is going to happen to their other tools in the future good luck. The sander works fine ,but nowhere the quality that you would expect from Jet, and way over priced Your Kids will not be using this sander 20 years from now, The stand that it mounts to will last a lifetime.”
