“I bought this for a Performax 16/32 wide belt sander. The standard abrasives for this machine are 3" wide. I assumed that I would just need a bit more Abranet to fill the drum but encountered an unexpected problem. It was impossible to cut a taper on the end to reach the tensioning slot. I ended up wrapping the Abranet over the old sandpaper and left a 1/8" gap between each pass. It seems to be working but time will tell. This would be a no brainer if Abranet came in 3" wide rolls.”
