“This quality of this jointer is head and shoulders above the other popular brands out there. The tables and fence are dead flat across the length and width. Well written instructions and easy assembly. The fit and function of all moving parts are smooth and stay in place when locked down. You'll be very lucky to find this on the other brands out there. The out feed table was low at the far end by .018", loosened the gib and added some shim, now the tables are .0015" coplanar over the entire length, almost unheard of on woodworking machines. After setup, I made some test cuts on some 8/4 oak and machine performed flawlessly. Face was perfectly flat with a nice finish and the edge was exactly 90 deg's. I am very pleased with the quality and performance of this machine. The price does seem a little expensive compared to the other brands but once you put your hands on and use a Powermatic you'll realize it's worth every penny spent.”
