“I've been at this awhile and I do not "gush" over tools. But this saw is made so well, performs so well, and the assembly instructions are so remarkable that I would give this tool 10 stars if I could. Even if it were not such a high quality machine, the instructions alone make it head and shoulders above the competition. Beautifully illustrated and written, I did not have a single unexplained part left over when I was done, and all surfaces were flat and square. I've purchased a lot of Incra products and they are excellent but the SawStop is even better, both in quality of manufacture and WAY WAY better in their instructions. It's clear that the SawStop company really cares about its products and customer service. If there was zero special safety features I would still buy this saw without a second thought. But with the safety features it is truly a no brainer. And the sensor is easily turned off if you're worried about activating it with wet wood or other items you are cutting. I'm very glad I bought the more powerful machine, it breezes through 2 and 3 inch stock without any hesitation. The stock saw blades seem excellent, the zero clearance insert is perfect, and with the industrial mobile base the entire unit glides around the shop with little effort. I personally would not invest in the over the table vacuum unless you have allergies or special needs. The under table vacuum works great and I think is all that most folks will need.”
